Passed away in Houston, Texas in 2014 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Preceded in death by his wife, Jeane. He left behind a son, Dwayne (wife Nikki) , grandson JJ and grand-daughter Peri Jean. John had retired from the US Navy. John was a member of the first graduating high-school class of H-F and played basketball during that first year of the school.
